The Ventilation Shafts Of The Tiefbunker

There is no reliable information about the appearance and the workings of the ventilation inlet and outlet shafts ending above the level of the bunker roof. Since these shafts were built over at the beginning of nineteen forty five, eyewitness reports are the only reliable source of information for a reconstruction. The eye witnesses relate that after the completion of the bunker the airshafts ended at the level of the bunker ceiling. A metal grill then secured the opening of each shaft.
